Dabieshan Power Company Maintains Stable Power Supply to Medical Front Line in Wuhan

On 25 January, in active response to the emergency requirements for epidemic prevention and control in Hubei Province, China Power's Dabieshan Power Company, located in the province's Huanggang City, overcame manpower obstacles in the epidemic region and switched on its No. 2 Unit, in order to provide stable supply of electricity for the province's epidemic emergency response, becoming the first coal power company in Hubei running both units during Spring Festival.

On 31 January, in guiding the essential services maintenance work during the epidemic prevention and control, Hao Peng, Chairman and Party Committee Secretary of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, showed in a video meeting with the company his care to its frontline workers for their hard work during the fight against the epidemic. He praised and recognised the company for fulfilling its missions and responsibilities as a state-owned energy enterprise, most notably the effectiveness of its measures against the epidemic and ensuring stable power supply for the epidemic epicentre in a special time for disease prevention and control. That the company urgently switched on its other unit to support the emergency response in Wuhan was reported by CCTV's news and special programmes on 3 and 7 February respectively.
