Pingwei Power Plant Coal Testing Centre Passes CNAS Annual Supervision and Assessment

On 5 July, China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) performed an on-site assessment on the Coal Testing Centre of Anhui Huainan Pingwei Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Pingwei Power Plant). Assessment experts approved the Coal Testing Centre to pass its on-site assessment because they deemed that the centre had a normal quality management system and system documents consistent with testing requirements in terms of appropriateness, adequacy and effectiveness.

This assessment lasted for two days. The experts assessed coal sampling and testing personnel who were randomly selected and tested the competence of authorised signatories. In particular, quality guidelines and objectives, quality control capabilities, resource allocation of the centre, internal review and correction and implementation of preventive measures were conscientiously supervised and reviewed. At last, the company passed the assessment.
