Changzhou Hydropower Company Successfully Completed Black Start Test

With the slow opening of No. 12 sluice gate, the black start test of Unit 15 on the Neijiang River was successfully completed, and Changzhou Hydropower Company successfully achieved the target of black start function for a single unit.

The success means that in the event of any power grid blackout, Changzhou Hydropower Company is capable of starting up a 42 MW hydro turbo-generator within 15 minutes to activate the system and the power grid. The successful test can provide not only a guarantee for safe power supply for emergency flood release and ship passage in the event of a grid failure, but also drill ideas and practical experience for other hydropower stations.
