Hubei Power Generation Company Visits Wang Zhongyun, Executive Vice Mayor of Xiangyang City

On July 20, 2021, Mr. Zou Zhenyu, Executive Director and General Manager of CPID Hubei Power Generation Company, and his delegation visited Wang Zhongyun, Standing Member and Executive Vice Mayor of Xiangyang City. Both sides had a discussion on the cooperation and development of the vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) energy storage industrial base and rooftop PV systems in Xiangyang Hi-tech Industry Development Zone.

Mr. Zou expressed his appreciation for the continuous support of Xiangyang Municipal Government, and introduced the overall planning and promotion plan as well as the problems to be tackled for the VRFB energy storage industrial base and rooftop PV systems invested and built by the Company in Xiangyang Hi-tech Industry Development Zone. Mr. Zou said, with the vigorous support of Xiangyang Municipal Government, the Company would continuously increase its investment and business presence in Xiangyang City. By setting up a professional team and employing the optimal technical scheme, the Company will speed up the construction of the VRFB energy storage industrial base and rooftop PV systems with the highest efficiency, so as to provide green impetus for achieving green, low-carbon development and the "3060" carbon targets in Xiangyang City.

Mr. Wang, on behalf of Xiangyang Municipal Government, welcomed Mr. Zou and his delegation and expressed his appreciation for the investment and the efforts made by Hubei Power Generation Company in boosting the economic development of Xiangyang City. Mr. Wang said that Xiangyang Municipal Government would vigorously support the development of SPIC in Xiangyang and prioritize the investment and construction of the VRFB energy storage industrial base and rooftop PV systems in Xiangyang Hi-tech Industry Development Zone. The government would make every effort to help solve the problems encountered in these projects, so as to make sure that they will commence as early as possible and guarantee their smooth implementation. Both sides also discussed the business model of industrialization, development targets, prospects, and promotion plans of VRFB energy storage industry, and the cooperation in other new energy fields and new industries. The two sides reached a consensus on strengthening multi-faceted cooperation in the field of energy.
