CPID Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shanxian County, Shandong Province
On September 13, 2021, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between CPID and Shanxian County People's Government took place in Shanxian County, Shandong Province. Mr. Li Houxin, Employee Director and Director of Publicity and Mass Department of SPIC, Mr. Xu Bin, Deputy Director of Publicity and Mass Department and Secretary of Youth League Committee, Mr. Xue Xinchun, Vice President of CPID, Mr. Wei Chuanyong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanxian County Committee and Head of Shanxian County, and Mr. Li Lei, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Shanxian County Committee and Subprefect of Shanxian County, attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Xue Xinchun and Mr. Li Lei signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.
Mr. Li Houxin expressed his gratitude to the Shanxian County People's Government for its strong support to SPIC and CPID, and introduced the transition, operations, and county-wide development plan of SPIC. He said that SPIC was committed to achieving the "3060" carbon targets and has always borne in mind President Xi Jinping’s entrustment of "the PV industry must be well developed", with sustained efforts to speed up the clean and low-carbon transition. Given the rich resources and long cultural history of Shanxian County, SPIC would deeply participate in and contribute to the high-quality development of the county.
Mr. Xu Bin outlined the development of SPIC's integrated smart energy and the "zero-carbon village" project in Xiaogang Village, Anhui Province. He said that SPIC had been sparing no efforts to promote the integrated smart energy industry and the rural revitalization strategy, and had received a number of technological outcomes such as "Tianshu No.1" and multi-scenario application programs. He hoped that both sides would strengthen communication and explore cooperation modes to jointly build Shanxian County into a low-carbon, smart and ecologically livable place.
Mr. Xue Xinchun introduced the basic situation and the new energy development plan of CPID. Mr. Xue said that the cooperation between CPID and Shanxian County was highly complementary, because the former had a wide spectrum of power source types and business types and the latter was a large agricultural county with unique characteristics. He expected the full use of their respective strengths to carry out in-depth cooperation to implement new energy projects across the county and build pilot projects to facilitate rural revitalization, hence achieving win-win results.
Mr. Wei Chuanyong extended a warm welcome to the delegation of SPIC and CPID. Mr. Wei said that the cooperation with CPID would give a new impetus to the energy restructuring and environmental protection of the county, which was of great significance for the county-level "3060" carbon targets. Mr. Wei hoped CPID would intensify its project development and investment in smart energy, rural revitalization, and other businesses in Shanxian County. He said that the Shanxian County People's Government would provide favorable policies and other support to expedite the implementation of projects and promote the high-quality development of the county.
According to the agreement, both sides will establish a long-term, close and stable strategic partnership on the basis of "equality, mutual benefit, complementary advantages, mutual support, long-term cooperation, and common development". Both sides will take solid steps to achieve the regional "3060" carbon targets, and make concerted efforts to construct new energy demonstration bases, develop integrated smart energy, build green transportation system, and implement rural revitalization projects, so as to create new growth drivers, accelerate energy restructuring, energy conservation, emission reduction, and environmental protection in the county, turning it into a low-carbon, smart and ecologically livable place.
