CPID Changshu Electric Power Sales Company Participates in China's First Green Power Transaction

On September 7, 2021, Changshu Electric Power Sales Company of CPID participated in China's first green power transaction and completed a procurement of 2.5 million kWh.

In the transaction, the Company collected timely the clean electricity demands of customers and coordinated SPIC's clean energy resources in the province, gaining valuable experience for its future transactions. Green power transaction effectively meets the needs of green transformation of enterprises and provides the end users with another way to reduce emissions.

Green power transaction is the trading of wind power, PV power, and other green electricity products within the framework of medium- and long-term electricity market mechanism. It fully embodies the value of green electricity as an energy product and its value to the environment. In addition to the electricity itself, green power certificates are provided for the customers. Green power transactions will greatly promote the development of new energy and the active consumption of green electricity, which is essential for the building of a new power system dominated by new energy and for achieving the "3060" carbon targets.
