Mr. Gao Ping Visits Huainan Municipal Party Committee and Government and Huaihe Energy Group

On October 12, 2021, Mr. Gao Ping, Executive Director and President of CPID, visited Mr. Ren Zefeng, Secretary of Huainan Municipal Party Committee, and Zhang Xiaocheng, Mayor of Huainan in Huainan City. They together attended and witnessed the signing of the Cooperation Framework Agreement on Panji-Chunhe Combined New Energy and Modern Agriculture Demonstration Project, according to which, CPID, Panji District Government, and Chunhe Modern Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. will together implement the Panji-Chunhe New Energy Project.

Before the signing ceremony, Mr. Gao Ping, on behalf of CPID, expressed his gratitude to Huainan Municipal Party Committee and Government for their support to CPID and Pingwei Power Plant, and then gave a brief introduction to CPID including its transition and development planning. He said that CPID would further deepen its communication and cooperation with Huainan City in development of new energy projects and integrated smart energy projects, green energy substitution, and construction of large-scale modern agricultural bases to achieve win-win results.

Mr. Ren Zefeng and Mr. Zhang Xiaocheng extended a warm welcome to Mr. Gao Ping and his delegation. Ren introduced the current industrial status and urban development direction of Huainan. He remarked that Huainan was willing to cooperate with CPID in constructing new energy bases and promoting the large-scale and industrialized development of agriculture, and he hoped that CPID would, relying on its strengths in fund and technology, actively get engaged in the construction of new energy bases, increase investment in agricultural projects to drive rural revitalization, and contribute to common prosperity in Huainan. Zhang added that CPID's future planning was in line with the development direction of Huainan, and they would provide full support for Panji-Chunhe New Energy Project and take this project as a starting point to further expand cooperation.

On the afternoon of October 12, Mr. Gao Ping visited Mr. Kong Xiangxi, Chairman of Huaihe Energy Group. Gao expressed his gratitude to Huaihe Energy Group for its consistent support to CPID in coal supply, and hoped that both sides would intensify strategic cooperation in new energy, integrated smart energy, energy storage, and optimization of existing thermal power units, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Mr. Kong Xiangxi extended his warm welcome to Mr. Gao Ping and his delegation. He said that in the face of short coal supply, Huaihe Energy Group would shoulder its social responsibility as a state-owned enterprise, and guarantee the coal supply to Pingwei Power Plant and other power plants according to the Chinese government's requirements. He added that Huaihe Energy Group was willing to cooperate with CPID in development of clean energy projects, replacement of equal capacity of Pingwei I power plant, and comprehensive ecological improvement of mining areas.
