China Power Huayuan Completes Second Overhaul of Unit 2 of Haiyang Nuclear Power Station

Recently, China Power Huayuan, a subsidiary of CPID, successfully completed the second overhaul of Unit 2 nuclear island of Haiyang Nuclear Power Station. The overhaul activities and tests took 19.63 days, and the unit was successfully synchronized at the first attempt.

During the overhaul, the company kept an eye on the critical path, optimized the allocation, made reasonable arrangements, did a good job of Covid-19 prevention, and overcame difficulties such as tight schedule. It successfully completed 1,471 maintenance items of the nuclear island under the supervision and guidance of Shandong Nuclear Power Company, and received more than 110 praise cards from the owner and more than 150 commendations in total. The company only took 8.52 hours to complete the maintenance of the manholes and blinds of the steam generator, which was scheduled to be completed in 14 hours. As a result, the critical path duration was shortened by 5.48 hours, setting a new record. The company won high praise from the Overhaul Command Department of Shandong Nuclear Power Station.
