SPIC Guangxi Company Holds Kick-off Ceremony for New Energy Projects
On December 15, 2021, SPIC Guangxi Company held a kick-off ceremony for new energy projects in East Guangxi, South Guangxi and North Guangxi at the same time, announcing the construction of 23 wind power and PV power projects with a total installed capacity of 2,900 MW in 8 counties (districts) of Wuzhou, Qinzhou and Guilin cities, marking the start-up of the largest new energy project fleet in Guangxi.
The project fleet is scheduled to be put into operation at full capacity by the end of 2023, providing 6,000 GWh of green electricity annually, which is equivalent to saving 2 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 5.2 million tons. The project fleet marks another historic breakthrough in the development of new energy projects after the completion of the largest alpine wind farm fleet in South China, contributing to the realization of the "3060" target.
In the next step, SPIC Guangxi Company will promote the construction of the new energy projects in strict accordance with the requirements of the regional governments at all levels, and strive to build the new energy projects into high-quality projects with "environmental friendliness, reliable safety and quality, and obvious comprehensive benefits", and draw a green and low-carbon development blueprint.
