CPID Commissions an Energy Storage Project
On December 27, 2021, Haiyang 101 MW/202 MWh energy storage power plant, which was constructed by Xinyuan Smart Energy Storage Co., Ltd. (the Company), a subsidiary of CPID, was successfully synchronized. The project is the first energy storage project successfully put into operation since the establishment of the Company in July 2021, and also SPIC's first 100 MW class shared energy storage power plant successfully synchronized.
The project is one of the first five demonstration projects for peaking energy storage in Shandong, located in Haiyang Nuclear Power Industrial Park and invested and developed by SPIC Shandong Company. After being put into operation, the project will be integrated into the unified dispatch management of Shandong Power Grid, mainly participating in Shandong's ancillary, peaking and capacity leasing services, with a charging capacity of 200 MWh to meet the electricity consumption of 1,000 households for one month, and can absorb 100 GWh of new energy annually.
The Company undertook the system integration of the project, realized the independent integration and delivery of the energy storage core equipment, and provided R&D, design and integration supply services. The energy storage system adopts leading core technologies, including high energy density energy storage integration technology, energy storage coordination and control technology, safety management technology, and efficient smart thermal management technology, with the features of reliable safety, high performance and long life. The project will give a strong impetus to the development of energy storage in Shandong, and promote new energy consumption and energy mix optimization.
