CPID Installs First 5 MW Wind Turbine in Hami

On January 8, 2022, CPID successfully installed the first 5 MW wind turbine of Hami Xingyueneng Wind Power Project in Xinjiang. The project has a total planned capacity of 300 MW, and the first phase has a capacity of 50 MW, including ten H155-5 MW wind turbines manufactured by CSSC Haizhuang Wind Power. The wind turbines are the largest in capacity in Xinjiang. The project will promote the development of Hami wind power into the era of large-capacity units.

Hami is an important national energy base with abundant wind energy resources. The project is located in the Shisanjianfang wind area, where the multi-year average wind speed can reach 8.46 m/s or higher. As an important part of the Shisanjianfang GW-class wind power base, the project is scheduled to be commissioned by June 30, 2022.
