CPID Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with CNPC Xinjiang Oil Field Company

On January 12, 2022, Mr. Gao Ping, Executive Director and President of CPID, met with Mr. Yang Liqiang, GM of CNPC Xinjiang Oil Field Company, in Karamay, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CNPC Xinjiang Oil Field Company on behalf of CPID. Mr. Niu Guiyu, Deputy Director of CPID, attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.

Mr. Gao introduced the basic situation of CPID and the path and achievements of CPID in implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's "building a new power system with new energy as the mainstay" and the smart, low-carbon and decentralized development for the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Mr. Gao said that CPID had practical experience and industry-leading advantages in green electric transportation, energy storage, hydrogen energy, geothermal energy, integrated smart energy and rural revitalization, and with this strategic cooperation as an opportunity, CPID would further bring into play its capital, technology, management and brand advantages, establish innovative cooperation mode, deepen electric energy substitution, promote carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and achieve green empowerment, intelligent innovation and win-win results.

Mr. Yang extended a warm welcome to Mr. Gao and his delegation, and said that the strategic cooperation agreement was also a powerful step to implement the strategic cooperation agreement between SPIC and CNPC, hoping to achieve win-win results through all-round cooperation in energy saving and consumption reduction, research on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, as well as institutional mechanism, corporate governance and talent training.
