CPID Signs Agreement on Manas 2 GW Wind, Solar and Energy Storage Integration Project

On January 12, 2022, Mr. Zhao Yonggang, Vice President of CPID, attended the online signing ceremony of Manas 2 GW Wind, Solar and Energy Storage Integration Project at the headquarters in Beijing. The agreement was signed by CPID, China Northwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Manas County People's Government.

Mr. Zhao welcomed the leaders and guests who attended the signing ceremony and thanked Manas County for its trust and support to CPID. After briefly introducing the development history and achievements of CPID, Mr. Zhao said that CPID had transformed from a power producer and a traditional energy company to an advanced green low-carbon energy supplier, and that CPID would provide a package solution for the development and rural revitalization of Manas County by combining its industrial advantages in battery swap for heavy trucks, green electric transportation, energy storage and agricultural modernization with the construction of the integration base in Manas County, boosting the shift of local economy to green development.

Mr. Wang Juntang, a member of the Standing Committee of Party Committee and Deputy Head of Manas County, welcomed CPID's choice of Manas County for investment, and said that Xinjiang would have great development opportunities during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and Manas County would be a pioneer demonstration county for industrial integration development in Xinjiang. Mr. Wang Juntang said that the agreement would help Manas County speed up the building of a demonstration base for wind power, solar power and energy storage integration projects, boost the integrated development of the local modern low-carbon agricultural industry cluster, and promote the local rural revitalization and economy, as a wonderful start for Manas County in the new year.

Mr. Wang Jun, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and GM of China Northwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., said that the agreement was the starting point of in-depth cooperation between the parties in Manas County, and that China Northwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. would give full play to its advantages in project planning, engineering management, green building and industry chain integration, actively coordinate the relationship between the industrial parties and accelerate the implementation of the project.
