Wuqiangxi Hydropower Extension Project Receives Mainstream Media Coverage

On February 12, 2022, Hunan Daily reported on Wuqiangxi Hydropower Extension Project, one of Hunan Province's 14th Five-Year Plan key construction projects, with the title of "Project construction plays a "spring song" - Hunan Province's key projects speed up construction during Spring Festival". The construction of the project was also reported by industry and local media such as China Energy Network, Red Network Moment and New Hunan.

During the Spring Festival, Wuqiangxi Hydropower Extension Project Department actively coordinated with the local government and the constructors to speed up the construction of the project. Nearly four hundred workers were on duty at the construction site and many measures were taken to ensure the extension project was fully advanced.

Wuqiangxi Hydropwer Extension Project is one of Hunan Province's 14th Five-Year Plan key construction projects with an important significance in Hunan energy supply, and is a key project supervised by Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Energy Bureau. Since its kickoff, the project has been affected by many unfavorable factors such as COVID-19, the Yangtze River Basin flood, extreme weather conditions, power and production restrictions, etc. Wuling Power Corporation Ltd. (Wuling) has concentrated on deploying all kinds of resources to promote the construction of the project, and now the powerhouse works has entered the handing-over stage of mechanical and electrical equipment installation areas. The installation areas have been steadily progressing according to the schedule.
