Mr. He Xi Visits Leaders of Kokdala City and Attends the Signing Ceremony of Agreement between China Power New Life Town and Kokdala City

On March 9, 2022, He Xi, Chief Engineer (New Energy) of SPIC and Chairman of CPID, visited leaders of Kokdala City, Xinjiang and attended the signing ceremony of the framework cooperation agreement between China Power New Life Town Technology Co., Ltd. (“China Power New Life Town”) and Kokdala City. Mr. Xie Qiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Kokdala City, presided over the signing ceremony. Mr. Li Chengsheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Kokdala City, and Mr. Zhang Long, General Manager of China Power New Life Town, signed the cooperation framework agreement on behalf of the two sides, respectively.

Before the signing ceremony, the two sides had a friendly exchange and Mr. Xie Qiang first expressed his warm welcome to the arrival of Mr. He Xi and his delegation. He said that CPID is a large powerful state-owned energy enterprise, and China Power New Life Town is its platform for rural revitalization with outstanding advantages in capital, management and technology, and the rich natural resources and human resources of Kokdala City will provide a broad space for cooperation between the two sides.

Mr. He Xi spoke highly of the economic and social development in Kokdala in recent years, and introduced the development of CPID. He pointed out that CPID, as a red-chip company listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, was actively implementing the national “3060” strategy and rural revitalization strategy, and practicing the requirement of General Secretary Xi Jinping to keep the sources of energy and food in our own hands. The beautiful environment and abundant resources in Kokdala City provide a broad space for the two sides to cooperate on the “3060” strategy and rural revitalization. He said that CPID would give full play to its advantages in technology and resources, promote the development of the clean and low-carbon energy projects and green industries in Kokdala City, and jointly build a demonstration area for rural revitalization, thus contributing to the high-quality economic and social development of Kokdala City.

The two sides said that they would deepen their cooperation in promoting rural revitalization, low-carbon agriculture, and modern health and wellness tourism industry, and planning the development of the whole industry chain, and extend their cooperation to more fields to set a good example for local government-enterprise cooperation. In particular, both sides will set up a work team as soon as possible to implement the results of the talks and promote the implementation of projects.
