Mr. He Xi Meets with Mr. Gao Hongshu, Chairman of CNNC-24

On April 14, 2022, Mr. He Xi, Chief Engineer (New Energy) of SPIC and Chairman of CPID, met with Mr. Gao Hongshu, Chairman of China Nuclear Industry 24 Construction Co., Ltd. (CNNC-24), and his delegation at the headquarters in Beijing.

Mr. He welcomed Mr. Gao and his delegation, and briefly introduced the advantages of SPIC in nuclear power, PV power, wind power and other clean energy, as well as the history, strategic layout and clean energy development achievements of CPID. Mr. He said that CNNC and SPIC, as energy enterprises directly under the Central Government, had cooperated in the nuclear power sector for a long time and achieved good cooperation results; as a core subsidiary of CNNC, CNNC-24 enjoyed first-class project construction management capability, technical construction capability and sci-tech research and development capability; as a flagship subsidiary of SPIC and a Hong Kong red-chip listed company, CPID was involved in a wide range of businesses; under the background of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, there would be more room for cooperation between CPID and CNNC-24; and CPID was willing to carry out friendly cooperation with CNNC-24 in energy storage, new energy projects and international business so as to promote the early achievement of their strategic transformation goals.

Mr. Gao expressed his gratitude for Mr. He's reception, and introduced the governance structure, business segments, project performance and development of CNNC-24. Mr. Gao said that CNNC-24 had been deeply engaged in nuclear engineering, technology research, civil-military integration, and project investment and financing for many years, and had strong comprehensive strength to fully integrate the resources of upstream industry chain, intended to strengthen cooperation with CPID in new energy project development and international business, and create a model of cooperation between enterprises directly under the Central Government.

Mr. Niu Guiyu, Deputy Director of CPID, and Mr. Zhu Jicai, Deputy GM of CNNC-24, attended the meeting.
