CPID Hong Kong Volunteers Visit Local Elderly
Recently, a 12-volunteer team from CPID Hong Kong came to Wanchai Community for the first time to do voluntary work at the Wanchai Senior Service Center, visiting the elderly living alone in the residential buildings before the Dragon Boat Festival.
The volunteers brought along the gifts provided by the service center and went into the residential buildings, to carry out visiting and condolence activities. During the visit, the volunteers patiently asked each elderly person who lived alone during the fifth wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong about their recent health condition and the support they needed from the service center. They also chatted with the elderly and sent them Dragon Boat Festival gifts and warm wishes. The volunteers visited a total of 29 elderly people living alone, who had an average age of 85.8 years, with the oldest being 101 years.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, CPID Hong Kong planned this activity, which demonstrated CPID's social responsibility a Chinese-funded enterprise and a listed company in Hong Kong should assume.
