Mr. He Xi Meets with Mr. Li Guosheng, CPC Secretary of Shangqiu City

On September 25, 2022, Mr. He Xi, Chairman of CPID and Chief Engineer (New Energy) of SPIC, met with Mr. Li Guosheng, CPC Secretary of Shangqiu City, and his delegation at the headquarters in Beijing. Both sides had an in-depth exchange on cooperation between enterprises and localities to improve people's livelihood and secure heating, and sustainable development of CPID's operations in Shangqiu. Mr. Bai Xiangyang, Deputy CPC Secretary and Mayor of Shangqiu City, Mr. Cao Yuekun, Vice Mayor of Shangqiu City, and Mr. Zhao Yonggang, Vice President of CPID, attended the meeting.

Mr. He extended a warm welcome to Mr. Li and his delegation, and expressed his gratitude to the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party and the Government of Shangqiu for their long-standing care and support to CPID's operations in Shangqiu. Mr. He said that CPID had always attached importance to investment and development in Shangqiu, actively integrated into the new development pattern of Shangqiu, and promoted the transition of Shangqiu's energy mix, and would continue to integrate Shangqiu's unique advantages and strengthen investment in fields such as people's livelihood, heating, new energy, agriculture and environmental protection. Mr. He hoped that the Government of Shangqiu would continue its help and support to CPID's coal-based power enterprises in Shangqiu, and both sides could make joint efforts to help Shangqiu CHP Plant out of the difficulties caused by high coal prices and properly solve the historical problems, so as to contribute to improving people's livelihood, stabilizing the economy and promoting development in Shangqiu.

Mr. Li expressed his gratitude to CPID for its long-standing care and support for the economic and social development of Shangqiu, and expressed his appreciation for the contribution made by CPID, as an enterprise directly under the Central Government, to Shangqiu's livelihood in energy supply. Mr. Li said that Shangqiu had been promoting green and low-carbon energy development and accelerating energy transition, which is highly compatible with CPID's new strategic transition. Mr. Li hoped that both sides would shore up confidence to strengthen cooperation in multiple fields to achieve all-win results for the masses, enterprises and the government, and expressed that the Government of Shangqiu would continue to provide quality services for enterprises and help them resolve the difficulties in their development.

Mr. Bai said that Shangqiu would provide dedicated services for CPID's development in Shangqiu, and work out targeted solutions to promote industrial investment, thus achieving mutual benefits and win-win results.

At the meeting, both sides also had a friendly consultation on the sustainable development of enterprises in Shangqiu and the development of the emerging green energy industry of shared energy storage, and expressed that they would further strengthen communication to solve related problems.
