CPID to Implement Its First "Source, Grid, Load and Storage" Integrated Project in Northern Shandong
Hong Kong, October 5, 2022 - China Power Lubei Clean Energy (Shandong) Co., Ltd., a joint venture of CPID (02380.HK), has achieved a high-quality start in clean energy development, with its first "source, grid, load and storage" integrated project in Lubei Integrated Smart Industrial Park formally approved by Binzhou Administrative Approval Bureau. The project marks the implementation of CPID's new strategy in northern Shandong.
The project is located in Chengkou Town, Wudi County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, including a 50 MW wind farm, a 450 MW PV power station, a 220 kV step-up substation, a power supply and distribution network, an energy storage system (140 MW/280 MWh), two 80 MW peaking gas turbines, and a supporting integrated control platform, in accordance with the "source, grid, load and storage" integrated model.
After being completed, the project is expected to generate about 887,742,680 kWh of electricity a year, which means an annual saving of about 267,654 tons of standard coal compared with a coal-fired power project with the same capacity . The project will not only supply green power to Lubei Integrated Smart Industrial Park, but also generates great benefits in terms of demonstration and promotion. The project is conducive to transforming regional energy and resource advantages into economic and industrial advantages, promoting the transition to a clean and low-carbon regional energy mix and energy conservation and emission reduction, driving the high-quality development of resource-based industries, and supporting the stable development of the local economy.
