CPID Hong Kong Volunteer Team Organizes Volunteer Activities

On October 30, 2022, the CPID Hong Kong Volunteer Team organized volunteers to visit the elderly and the singletons in Pok Hong Estate Community and Yau Ma Tei Community, distribute living materials, etc.

At 9:00 am, a group of 9 volunteers arrived at the office of the members of the Legislative Council Business in Pok Hong Estate, and participated in the volunteer activities organized by the office with volunteer team of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association. The volunteers first received relevant training to understand the details of the visitation process, communication skills and precautions. After the training, the volunteers were grouped together and led by local volunteers to visit residents of Pok Hong Estate community with the living materials. At 2:00 pm, the volunteers went to Wo Foo Commercial Building in Yau Ma Tei to participate in a volunteer activity organized by PRAXIS, deliver daily necessities and bring greetings and blessings to some chronically ill and elderly people living alone.

Since 2022, CPID has carried out 7 volunteer activities in Hong Kong, such as solidarity against epidemics and caring for the elderly, fulfilling its due social responsibility as a Chinese-funded enterprise in Hong Kong.
