CPID (02380.HK): Shouguang Houzhen 100 MW Fishery-Solar Hybrid Project Connected to Power Grid

On December 30, 2022, Shandong Energy Development Co., Ltd. under China Power International Development Limited (China Power or CPID, stock code: 02380.HK) connected Shouguang Houzhen 100 MW Fishery-Solar Hybrid Project to the grid at full load, the first full-load grid-connected project in the 10 GW wind and solar power generation and energy storage base in the Lubei saline mudflats in Shandong.

The project is located in the brine pond of Houzhen Marine Chemical Park, Shouguang, Weifang, Shandong Province, covering a land area of 2,136 mu and consisting of 226,200 PV modules, 27 towers and one 110 kV step-up substation. The project is expected to generate about 156 GWh of clean electricity annually, saving about 44,000 tons of standard coal and reducing CO2 emissions by about 121,000 tons a year.

During the construction of the project, technical guidance, material coordination, quality inspection and acceptance were carried out flexibly by means of drone inspection and online video, and 12 special safety checks were completed to ensure the smooth connection of the project to the grid.

The full-load grid connection of the project is the starting point for the company to fully promote the development and construction of the 10 GW base. In the future, the company will build more "PV+" projects, including "salt-solar hybrid" and "fishery-solar hybrid" in Shandong according to local conditions, to build large, digital power bases.
