SPIC Anhui Promotes Xinjiang-Anhui Power Transmission and Completes First Cross-Provincial Green Power Transaction

Recently, in the 2023 "Xinjiang-Anhui" cross-provincial green power trading organized by Beijing Electricity Trading Center, SPIC Anhui applied for the trading of 158 GWh of electricity, with 55 GWh approved by the National Dispatch Center, ranking first in Anhui Province. SPIC Anhui achieved its first cross-provincial green power transaction.

SPIC Anhui attaches great importance to cross-provincial green power trading. By giving full play to the advantages of its cooperation with large customers in the province, SPIC Anhui takes the initiative to approach the local energy authorities, Beijing Power Trading Center, Anhui Power Trading Center, etc., and digs deep into the demand for low-carbon energy in Anhui. Focusing on the demand for clean energy accommodation in the western region, SPIC Anhui has been working closely with SPIC Xinjiang to carry out preliminary work, establish and promote cross-regional marketing synergy mechanism, conceive the concept of cross-provincial green power trading, and create favorable conditions for power transmission from Xinjiang to Anhui.

After efforts, SPIC Anhui achieved excellent results in terms of both quantity and price in the cross-provincial green power trading, with a trading volume accounting for more than 30% of the total market demand in Anhui Province.

The cross-provincial green power trading is of great significance to the follow-up power transmission from Xinjiang to Anhui. SPIC Anhui will pay close attention to the energy demand and the situation of green power market, deepen cross-regional power marketing synergy, incorporate the energy demand of the large customers in the Yangtze River Delta region into the national unified power market construction, expand green power trading, and create more value.
