SPIC Shandong Energy Wins 2 Awards for Offshore Wind Power Innovation Achievements

Recently, the offshore wind power company of SPIC Shandong Energy was presented at the 2023 (6th) Smart Technology Seminar on Power Equipment Management. Two offshore wind power studies were granted the Innovation Achievement Award by China Electricity Technology Market Association. The study on the application of new firefighting system for offshore wind turbines was evaluated as a five-star (first prize) innovation achievement, and the study on the innovation of firefighting system for offshore switchyard was evaluated as a four-star (second prize) innovative achievement.

"The two award-winning studies have applied for three patents, of which two have been granted and one is in the process of application acceptance," said Mr. Zhu Kunyang, Engineer of Engineering and Construction Department of Offshore Wind Power Company. "The two award-winning studies have been applied in practice in two offshore wind power farms at Peninsula South 3 and Peninsula South V sites with good results."
