Mr. He Xi Wins Award for Outstanding Contribution to Industry-University-Research Institute Cooperation
On April 16, 2023, the 14th China Industry-University-Research Institute Cooperation and Innovation Conference, sponsored by China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association (CIUR), was held in Beijing. Mr. Lu Yongxiang, Vice Chairman of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a written speech. Mr. Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST), delivered a speech on the spot. Mr. Gu Shengzu, Vice Chairman of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC and an expert of the National Development Strategy Think Tank of Wuhan University, delivered a keynote speech. Mr. Wu Xiaoqing, Member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, presided over the conference. Leaders of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Beijing Municipal Government and more than 1,000 representatives from industry, academia and research attended the conference.
At the conference, Mr. He Xi, Chairman of CPID, won the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Industry-University-Research Institute Cooperation and was appointed as a special expert of the CIUR.
The award is the highest honor award for the collaborative innovation and deep integration of governments and industry-university-research institutes approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Science and Technology Award Office, mainly recognizing individuals who have made outstanding contributions in promoting the collaborative innovation of governments and industry-university-research institutes.
The special experts of the CIUR are all composed of well-known university presidents, academicians, expert leaders, senior experts and other elites from all walks of life. The special experts will jointly participate in guiding the work of the CIUR to strengthen the construction and top-level design of the think tank of industry-university-research institutes and promote the collaborative innovation and integrated development of governments and industry-university-research institutes.

The CIUR was established in November 2007, supervised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and is a group member of the CAST, a national social organization founded by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, State Bureau of Intellectual Property Rights, China Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, All-China Federation of Trade Unions, National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Development Bank and other relevant departments and a number of universities, research institutes, enterprise directly under the central government, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and other government, industry, academia and research sectors, and a high-level collaborative innovation service platform of cross-sector, cross-region, cross-industry and cross-discipline, with the interaction and cooperation of industry, academia, research, government, finance, business and media institutes.
