Mr. Gao Ping Meets with Mr. Batbold, Mongolian MP

On May 24, 2023, Mr. Gao Ping, Executive Director and President of CPID, met with Mr. Sükhbaataryn Batbold, Mongolian MP, and his delegation at CPID's headquarters. Mr. Xu Ji, Chief Accountant of CPID, attended the meeting.

Mr. Gao expressed his welcome to Mr. Batbold and his delegation, and introduced the general situation of SPIC and CPID under the leadership of the 2035 First-class Strategy, the experience and advantages in internationalization and coal trading, especially the achievements in the new energy and "three-new" industries.

Mr. Batbold, who was the Prime Minister of Mongolia from 2009 to 2012, expressed his gratitude to CPID for its warm reception and his appreciation for CPID's achievements in transition and development, also highlighted the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia, the business environment in Mongolia, the future development plans and the development opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative.

Mr. Gao said that Mongolia's advantageous wind and solar power resources provide good opportunities for both sides to cooperate in clean energy, CPID would further study the development opportunities of new energy + agriculture and new energy + pastoralism in Mongolia, take advantage of Mongolia's resources for the benefit of local people, and help local economic development and environmental beautification.

The heads of the International Business Department, Fuel Management Center, Procurement and Bidding Center and China Power Guorui and related personnel of CPID accompanied the above activities.
