Hubei Power Generation Company Signs Cooperation Agreement with Wuhan Economic Development Industry Investment Group

On June 28, 2023, Hubei Power Generation Company held an inauguration ceremony in Wuhan Economic Development Zone and signed a cooperation agreement with Wuhan Economic Development Industry Investment Group Co., Ltd.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Liu Ziqing, Member of Standing Committee of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of Party Working Committee of Wuhan Economic Development Zone, Mr. Xu An, Chairman of CPPCC of Wuhan Economic Development Zone, Mr. Zou Zhenyu, Chairman of Hubei Power Generation Company, Mr. Deng Yong, General Manager of Hubei Power Generation Company, Ms. Huo Fang, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Committee and Chairman of Labor Committe of Hubei Power Generation Company, and Mr. Tang Tao, Deputy General Manager of Hubei Power Generation Company.

After settling in Wuhan Economic Development Zone, Hubei Power Generation Company will be based in Wuhan and look at the whole country, vigorously develop wind power generation, PV power generation and other clean and renewable energy business, and innovate and develop integrated smart energy. According to the agreement, both sides will adhere to the new development concept, focus on the construction and application of user-side integrated smart energy zero-carbon power plants, electricity and hydrogen substitution and other key areas, to create a comprehensive control platform, project reserves and incubation platform radiating nationwide.

During the discussion and exchange, Mr. Liu congratulated the achievements of Hubei Power Generation Company in its leapfrog development in recent years, and pointed out that Wuhan Economic Development Zone focuses on the central goal of "China's Vehicle Valley" and builds a modern new city with industrial-city integration and livability. Mr. Liu hoped that both sides will continue to deepen cooperation and explore and form a new path of green development led by scientific and technological innovation around China’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategy, while Wuhan Economic Development Zone will further strengthen the factors to support the development and growth of CPID in Wuhan with better policies, better services and better environment.

Mr. Zou pointed out that Wuhan Economic Development Zone has a strong industrial base, rich in innovative resources and strong development momentum, and is a hotbed for investment and prosperity, and Hubei Power Generation Company will fully integrate into the economic and social development of Wuhan Economic Development Zone, accurately lay out more quality projects around the "3335" modern industrial system, to promote the development and growth of new energy industry and contribute to the quality development of Wuhan Economic Development Zone.
