Zhucheng Energy Storage Demonstration Project Is Successfully Grid-Connected
On June 29, 2023, Zhucheng 100 MW/204 MWh Energy Storage Demonstration Project operated by CPID Shandong Energy Development Co., Ltd. was successfully connected to the grid.
The project is an energy storage demonstration project in Shandong Province in 2022, and is also the first grid-connected large-capacity independent energy storage project in Weifang City. The project is located on Shunwang Street, Zhucheng City, covering an area of 48.43 mu, and is equipped with 32 sets of lithium iron phosphate batteries and 1 set of all-vanadium redox flow batteries for energy storage. The project has a storage capacity of 204 MWh, which can meet the power consumption of about 1,000 households for one month, and will have an annual new energy consumption of 60 GWh, playing an important role in enhancing the regional power consumption capacity, promoting the rapid growth of new energy in the region, and ensuring the stable operation of the power grid.
The commercial operation of the project will enable CPID to participate in power market transactions in an independent capacity, effectively enhance the investment returns of the project, and provide supporting energy storage for the new energy projects in the Weifang region.
CPID will focus on the wind and solar power, energy storage and power transmission base in northern Shandong, play the key role of novel energy storage in stable power supply, and gain advantages in the construction of new power systems to further promote the quality development of the company.
