Mr. Gao Ping Meets with Mr. Liu Kai, Mayor of Jiayuguan City

On November 20, 2023, Mr. Gao Ping, President and Executive Director of China Power, met with Mr. Liu Kai, Deputy Secretary of Jiayuguan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province, and his delegation. Both sides had exchanges and discussions on deepening locality-enterprise cooperation, developing green energy, promoting industrial integration, etc.

Mr. Gao introduced the history and development of China Power and its strategic positioning in energy storage, colored photovoltaic systems, green power transportation, rural revitalization, intrinsic energy storage safety and other emerging industries, and pointed out that China Power is moving from a traditional energy company to a world-class technology-based and innovative clean energy company. Mr. Gao expressed that as an industrial city in Gansu Province, Jiayuguan is rich in new energy resources, and hoped that both sides will make full use of their own advantages and work together to deepen the cooperation in the fields of green power transportation, rural revitalization, green energy conversion and colored photovoltaic systems, so as to help the high-quality development of the local economy.

Mr. Liu appreciated the achievements of China Power in practicing green and low-carbon transition and development, and said that Jiayuguan City is now seizing the opportunity of the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals to vigorously develop new energy industries such as PV power generation. Mr. Liu expressed that the development direction of China Power is highly compatible with Jiayuguan's industrial development orientation and the development goal of creating "six models", and hoped that both sides will strengthen communication and dovetailing, actively implement the strategic deployment of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and jointly promote the development and construction of clean and low-carbon energy, as well as green and emerging industries, such as green hydrogen energy, facility agriculture, colored photovoltaic systems, battery-swap electric heavy-duty trucks, and so on.
