China Power Holds Symposium on New Energy Technology Innovation and Sustainable Development

On December 11, 2023, China Power held a symposium on new energy technology innovation and sustainable development to exchange views on new energy technology innovation, ESG disclosure and rating management. Mr. Gao Ping, President and Executive Director of China Power; Mr. Shou Rufeng, Vice President of China Power; Mr. Zhang Zhengwei, Special Advisor to the Chairman of International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), and Director of ISSB Beijing Office; Mr. Zhang Zhentao, member of the National Committee of CPPCC, Researcher at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (TIPC-CAS), and Chief Scientist at Beijing Borui Dingneng Power Technology Co., Ltd.; Mr. Xu Xiaofeng, Chairman of Zhongcai Sitai Group Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Wang Yiming, CEO of BOVA ESG Technology Limited, attended the symposium.

China Power welcomed the representatives of all parties and introduced the development history, general situation, emerging industries development and ESG work of China Power, expecting to strengthen cooperation with all parties, explore application scenarios and cooperation in new energy technology innovation, create the best ESG practices for Chinese enterprises, and enhance the global competitiveness and discourse power of China Power. Mr. Zhang Zhengwei said that the ISSB attaches great importance to China's capital market and fully considered the comments of relevant Chinese regulatory authorities, research institutes, listed companies, and other interested parties at the beginning of the development of the ISSB Standards, hoping that China Power will continue to attach importance to ESG ratings, and actively participate in the development of ESG-related rules.
