China Power Holds Board ESG Learning Exchange in Hong Kong

On March 21, 2024, China Power conducted a board level ESG exchange learning session at its Hong Kong office. Mr. He Xi, Chairman and Executive Director of China Power, Ms. Huang Qinghua, Non-Executive Director, and Mr. Li Fang and Mr. YAU Ka Chi, Independent Non-Executive Directors, attended the exchange learning session in Hong Kong.

The guest speaker was Mr. Tang Jiaxin, Partner of EY's Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS). Mr. Tang briefed the Board on the regulatory status and future development trends of ESG, shared best practices in ESG from domestic and international peers, and provided relevant suggestions on how to apply ESG tools to enhance China Power's corporate governance. The directors had in-depth discussions with the guests present on the opportunities and challenges facing China Power in the current ESG development landscape, and exchanged views on how to improve ESG ratings and management capabilities.
