China Power Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Government of Aguascalientes State, Mexico
On March 28, 2024, Mr. He Xi, Chairman of China Power, met with Ms. María Teresa Jiménez Esquivel, Governor of Aguascalientes State, Mexico, and her delegation, and witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between China Power and the Government of Aguascalientes State. Mr. Shou Rufeng, Vice President of China Power, attended the meeting and signing ceremony.
Mr. He welcomed Maria's visit, expressed gratitude to the Government of Aguascalientes State for its strong support for SPIC Zuma business development in Mexico, and provided detailed insights into China Power's overall situation. In particular, he highlighted the experience and advantages of China Power in PV power, wind power, geothermal power, PV power + new agriculture, PV power + construction materials, green electric transportation and international development.
Mr. He emphasized that China Power has accumulated valuable practical experience in building green, low-carbon and smart cities. The smart city energy solutions are in line with Aguascalientes' green, low-carbon and environment-friendly development concepts. China Power will actively leverage the advantages of Hong Kong listed companies in capital operation, industrial upgrading, leading technologies and abundant talents to comprehensively support Aguascalientes' energy transformation and upgrading, while ensuring safety.
Maria thanked China Power for their hospitality and appreciated their achievements in renewable energy development and industrial development planning. She praised Zuma, a Mexican company, for its outstanding contributions to energy development in Mexico. She noted that Aguascalientes enjoys social stability, rapid economic growth, abundant renewable resources and a well-established legal system. She looks forward to China Power's prompt investment and business development in Aguascalientes.
Mr. Shou, representing China Power, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Aguascalientes State in the presence of the attending officials. Both sides are committed to improving communication and cooperation. The Government of Aguascalientes State will strongly support Zuma's project development in Aguascalientes, providing support in policy making and permitting processes to expedite the existing project development.
