Wuling Power: Gathering Momentum for a Promising Spring, a Good Start!

In the first quarter of 2024, Wuling Power's safe production was relatively stable, successfully coping with the severe rain, snow and ice weather in Hunan, ensuring the successful completion of energy supply tasks during the Spring Festival with a favorable operating situation. Total power generation and profit increased significantly year on year, making a good start in the first quarter of 2024. The directly managed hydropower completed a total of 2696.1 GWh of electricity generation, an increase of 1333.3 GWh year on year, an increase of 97.84%.

The control center continuously carries out the joint optimization dispatch of cascade hydropower stations in the basin. Through active coordination, it successfully completes the pre-flood reduction of the main reservoirs, fully plays the compensatory regulation role of cascade hydropower stations, and has achieved a compensatory power generation of 270.2 GWh in the basin. Taking advantage of favorable conditions, with precise analysis and meticulous planning, measures such as pre-releasing reservoirs before floods and coordinating the operation modes of other large reservoirs in the basin effectively avoided water wastage. By raising the operating water level of low-head power stations, the water consumption rate for power generation was effectively reduced, achieving a water utilization rate of 100% and generating an additional 130.7 GWh of electricity.
