SPIC Fujian Wins Top National Award for Energy Storage Management Project

Recently, the project of SPIC Fujian Electric Power Co., Ltd. ("SPIC Fujian") on "Power Reliability Management of Electrochemical Energy Storage Power Stations" won the first award in the 2024 National Electric Power Industry Equipment Management Innovation Achievements.

The project enhances the reliability of power stations, particularly the energy storage units, through scientific management and innovation at all stages from design and construction to operation and maintenance. By employing rational management tools for both system construction and equipment management, the project addresses key operational challenges such as high concentration of energy storage transformers and large current flows in short periods. It implements strategies for control, cooling structures, and operational methods to tackle issues like high operational temperatures and significant deviations in battery cell consistency, effectively reducing equipment failure rates and improving the efficiency and lifespan of the power stations.
