SPIC Hubei Electric Power Achieves Milestone with Tianmen Rural Energy Revolution Project
At 21:46 on December 15, 2024, SPIC Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd. ("SPIC Hubei Electric Power") successfully completed reverse power transmission for the 20MW Guozhou Energy Storage Station in Duoxiang Town, part of the Tianmen Rural Energy Revolution initiative. This accomplishment marks the successful completion of the 50MW/100MWh energy storage system's annual targets with high standards.
The Guozhou project is a subcomponent of the Tianmen Rural Energy Revolution pilot program, one of the first projects in the initiative. The broader pilot program integrates diverse energy solutions, including fishery-solar hybrid systems, distributed and centralized wind power, centralized and grid-forming-side energy storage, the Chenzhou Village Green Energy Demonstration, and other renewable energy projects aimed at enhancing rural development. This initiative represents the company's commitment to implementing China's 14th Five-Year Plan, the Group's "Balanced Growth Strategy," and Hubei Province's rural energy planning. The program's overall goals are to achieve: 1) 100% green electricity supply in Tianmen City; 2) self-balancing energy generation and consumption within new power systems; 3) a clean, low carbon transition for rural energy use; and 4) empowerment of rural revitalization through energy industry development.
Looking ahead, SPIC Hubei Electric Power will continue to align with the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals by strengthening rural clean energy infrastructure, optimizing energy structures in rural areas, and innovating cooperation models and benefit-sharing mechanisms. These efforts aim to accelerate rural revitalization and advance the company's green development strategy.
