Unit 7 of China Power Pingwei Phase IV Project Begins Supplying Heat
On March 16, 2026, Unit 7 of Pingwei Power Phase IV project began supplying industrial steam to Anhui Jiaxi New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., following the successful commissioning of its new heating system. This milestone marks the unit's transition from pure power generation to combined heat and power (CHP) operation, significantly improving energy efficiency while delivering green momentum to local industrial development and regional energy security.

This successful commissioning represents an important step forward in Pingwei Power's strategy to expand its integrated energy services and support local industrial upgrading. The new heating system incorporates advanced domestic desuperheating and pressure-reduction technology and utilizes low-temperature reheat steam as its heat source. Engineered for safe, stable, and flexible operation, the system has a maximum heating capacity of 180 t/h per unit, fully meeting the high-quality steam demands of customers in the industrial park. The integration of heat supply has reduced the unit's net coal consumption for power generation by approximately 7 g/kWh, delivering measurable improvements in both economic performance and environmental outcomes while significantly strengthening Unit 7's competitiveness in the power market. The commissioning also provides valuable operational experience for the company's future expansion in the heating market.
