China Power Shanxi Company Officially Secured Construction Quota for Youyu Independent Energy Storage Project

Recently, the Youyu Independent Energy Storage Project of the Jinnbei Branch of China Power Shanxi Company passed reviews at the county, municipal, and provincial levels by the relevant energy authorities and was successfully included in the Shanxi Provincial Energy Storage Project Database. This marks the formal acquisition of the project's construction quota and represents a crucial step toward its implementation.

In the first phase of the project, a 100 MW /200 MWh electrochemical energy storage system will be built in conjunction with an efficient flywheel energy storage system. A multi-technology integration approach will be adopted to realize the synergy and complementarity of power regulation and energy regulation functions. Upon completion, the project will possess core capabilities of participating in primary frequency regulation, secondary frequency regulation, and peak shaving for power grid, effectively improving the flexibility, stability, and security of power grid operation and providing efficient and flexible regulation support power supply for local power grids.
