China Power (Gansu) Energy Investment Beidaqiao Project Carries Out a Series of Smart Upgrade

On May 18, the installation of intelligent monitoring facilities for No. 4 main transformer at the 110 kV booster station of China Power (Gansu) Energy Investment Beidaqiao Project was successfully completed, enabling real-time monitoring of the main transformer’s operating status. This marks another key measure in the project’s smart station development, following the implementation of UAV-based blade defect detection and inspection, the application of an intelligent inspection robot at the booster station, and the deployment of a smart monitoring robot for the 35 kV switchgear room, further improving the station’s level of intelligent operation.

To ensure the smooth completion of the upgrade, the project department held a dedicated meeting, established a special working group, and clarified task responsibilities. The project team inspected tools, spare parts, and consumables one week in advance, providing support for efficient maintenance work. It also comprehensively assessed on-site risks, refined safety measures and emergency response plans, and conducted safety briefings for all personnel, ensuring that the entire operation process remained safe and controllable. At the maintenance site, warning barriers were set up in a standardized manner, work areas were clearly divided, materials were placed in an orderly fashion, and all procedures were carried out efficiently and collaboratively.

During the upgrade, the project department simultaneously conducted preventive tests and defect elimination for primary and secondary equipment, maintenance of high-voltage switchgear, maintenance and preventive testing of No. 1 to No. 3 main transformers, and insulation and DC resistance tests for 136 box-type transformers. A total of nine equipment issues were identified and resolved. At the same time, the project implemented an “equipment renewal” initiative, completing anti-pollution flashover coating on the high-voltage side of the main transformers and carrying out comprehensive cleaning and decontamination of switchgear cabinets, terminal boxes, SVG devices, and other equipment, thereby improving equipment health and anti-pollution capability.
