China Power Dabieshan Sales Company Wins 2026 Thermal Power Operation and Maintenance Quality Control Circle Activity Award for Its Four QC Achievements

On July 27, the results of the 2026 Thermal Power Operation and Maintenance Quality Control Circle Activity Achievement Competition were announced. For the four QC achievements submitted by China Power Dabieshan Power Sales Co., Ltd. ("Dabieshan Sales"), one grand prize for innovative QC achievements, as well as two first prizes and one second prize for problem-solving QC achievements were awarded, making Dabieshan Sales a winner of the competition.

The above achievements, which cover key areas such as low-carbon operation and maintenance of power units, equipment reliability upgrade, and optimization of as-received coal sampling, represent the company's progress in quality innovation. Among them, the grand prize winner, "Key Technologies and Applications for Real-time Carbon Emission Measurement and Low-carbon Operation Optimization in Thermal Power Plants", aims to solve the difficulties of low-carbon operation in thermal power plants, successfully provides a digital platform that integrates carbon measurement, management and application, and innovatively develops a triple-check carbon measurement system, achieving the transition from annual periodic accounting to second-level, real-time monitoring of carbon emissions from thermal power units. The practical application demonstrates that the data error is reduced from ±20% to less than ±5%, which provides accurate data support for the low-carbon operation optimization of power units, offers effective instruction on operation adjustment, and helps reduce the carbon emission intensity. Thanks to this technical achievement, Dabieshan Sales became one of the first pilot companies in Hubei Province for carbon measurement digital certificates, took the lead in drafting three local standards, and received a commendation from Hubei Provincial Market Supervision Bureau.
